Nothing but great vibes, friendships, and memories to take with us as Project Lifelong concludes our 4th summer of shredding skate parks together. Though summer seems to get shorter and shorter every year, our kids still manage to pack in countless, powerful memories to take with them into the school year.
A few of these memories include the plethora of skateparks traveled to, dozens of new tricks learned and stomped, our first high school film intern, a trip to the Napa River, floating the South Fork of the American River, PL's first backpacking trip with The Sierra Club's ICO program, wake surfing behind a boat and of course, some of the biggest waves we have ever tried to surf with Carmel Surf Co.
It has become tradition to end our summer around a campfire while sharing highlights and gratitude. Though meaningful moments like these are difficult to describe and nearly impossible to recreate sometimes, one thing is very certain; our kids are quickly becoming young adults. They are proud, determined, and care about each other. They are visionaries and have a fire within them to make a difference in the world...and we know they will!
